Welcome to Mountain Home Christian Academy!
This is our very first message regarding the 2026–2027 school year, and whether you are a returning family or brand new to MHCA, we are truly grateful for your partnership and the opportunity to serve your family this year.
We’d like to begin with information regarding school uniforms. Please note that this message applies only to K–12 students at MHCA. Families of PK3 and PK4 students will receive separate uniform information from Mrs. Debbie at a later date.
Below is a message from our administrator, Mr. Byrd, regarding K–12 uniform ordering for the upcoming school year:
MHCA Parents,
The uniform portal for the 2026–27 school year is now open. https://mhcaeagles2026.itemorder.com/shop/home/
Each family will receive a discount shopping code by email. Please note that this email will come directly from the provider used by the Locker Room, not from MHCA. The Locker Room will send the shopping codes out Saturday morning and you will receive communication from the school once the codes have been sent.
When searching in your email, if you are unable to locate your code, please be sure to:
• Check your spouse’s email or any other emails you use
• Check your spam or junk folder
If you still cannot locate your code, please contact Mrs. Peglar at vpeglar@mhcaeagles.org, and she will be happy to assist you.
Once you receive your code and are ready to shop, simply use the link above, add items to your cart, then enter the code before checkout. The code will apply a $200 clothing allowance for each K–12 student in your family. Families with multiple students will receive one code that covers all eligible students.
As we shared last year, launching our uniform program came with a learning curve. We are grateful for your patience, grace, and feedback, and we’ve made several improvements to create a smoother and more efficient process this year.
Please plan for students to be in full uniform on the first day of school, so we encourage families to place orders early.
A few important updates and reminders:
We’ve expanded uniform options to better serve families, including button-up shirts and cotton polos. Cotton polos are a comfortable option, but they do tend to fade over time. Once fading becomes noticeable, they will need to be replaced. Our polyester polos maintain their color and appearance much longer.
The Locker Room has many sizes and styles in stock. Please use the sizing guide in the portal or stop by the store to try on uniform pieces before ordering.
Students may wear khaki, black, or gray pants, including khaki cargo pants.
Shorts and skirts purchased through The Locker Room are approved and meet MHCA dress code length requirements.
If items from our uniform provider do not fit your student well, families may purchase similar pants, shorts, or skirts elsewhere. However, those purchases will be at the family’s expense.
We are pleased to continue offering a $200 clothing allowance per student, and all prices in the portal include tax to help families plan clearly.
Additionally, uniform shirts featuring either the current MHCA Character logo or this year’s shield logo will both be acceptable during the 2026–27 school year, provided the items remain in good condition and are not significantly faded.
The portal will be open for 2 weeks. If your family does not live locally, you will be given a different time to order in the summer to allow you an opportunity to try on uniform pieces at the Locker Room before placing your order.
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue strengthening the culture, unity, and professionalism of MHCA through our uniform program. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We look forward to a wonderful school year together!

Mr. Byrd just got off the phone with the Mayor’s office, and unfortunately the new Aquatic Center still has a few "state" boxes left to check and will not be ready for business on Tuesday. So while we won’t be able to swim just yet, our students will get special class tours of the facility to see everything it has to offer and build excitement for the future opening! MHCA Pre-school families are invited to join the tours as well if they transport their student to the facility.
Knowing this news may cause a few dramatic sighs and devastated gasps, Mr. Byrd has declared the afternoon of Tuesday, May 19th to be the main building's official **“Eagle Soak Showdown!”**
Students should come prepared with:
• Clothes that can get wet
• An empty water gun
• A towel for drying off
We’ll end the school day with an all-out water battle to kick off summer fun in true MHCA fashion!

Today is Guess Who Wednesday! Your student can dress as a book character, wear fun hats, glasses, or a disguise! Remember, all shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at least fingertip length to be considered appropriate for school as our handbook advises.
Dear MHCA Families,
As we enter the final few weeks of the 2025-26 school year, we are grateful for how the Lord has worked in and through our students. At Mountain Home Christian Academy, our mission remains clear—to partner with Christian parents to develop students as servant leaders with Christ-like values through a quality education grounded in God’s Word. These last weeks are an important opportunity to continue educating minds, shepherding hearts, and graduating disciples.
To help you plan and finish strong with us, here is what is coming up:

Last Day of School – May 21st with noon dismissal: While testing has concluded, learning does not. We will continue engaging students with meaningful and enjoyable educational activities, including lessons centered around the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. This is a great opportunity to reflect on our nation’s history and God’s providence while keeping students actively learning through the very last day.
We encourage our students to finish with excellence—demonstrating humility, strong character, and a commitment to doing their best in all things for the glory of Christ.
Thank you for your continued partnership. It is a blessing to walk alongside your family in this important work.
