Each Thursday we will hightlight a MHCA Face of Faith! We want you to get to know the heart and soul of our staff. Today, we introduce you to Mrs. Kandra Nelson! We are thankful to everything Kandra brings to our Language Arts Program for high school.

We live in a world where we’re constantly connected—yet more disconnected than ever.
This January, we’re setting aside the noise to make room for what matters most: faith, family, purpose, presence, rest, and real conversations.
📵 A month to unplug.
💛 A month to reconnect.
🙌 A month to live fully.
Whether you're a parent, student, teacher, or just someone longing for more peace in your life—you’re invited.
This isn’t about rules or judgment. It’s about choosing to step away from the scroll and step into life with intention.
Imagine what could happen if we exchanged:
🔁 Screen time for scripture time
🔔 Notifications for prayer and rest
📱 Endless scrolling for face-to-face connection
💬 Digital noise for meaningful conversations
Let’s start the year with clear minds, full hearts, and renewed purpose.
Are you in? ✨

MHCA Teachers, (every grade represented including the littles) we need you to select 2 outstanding students to participate in this year's Whoville-themed parade float. If you could pick 2 students, communicate with those parents to see if they can participate, then let Mrs. Peglar know who is planning to participate. She will communicate that information to Jessie our "float coordinator" who will send out details about where to be and when!

Just wanted to send a reminder and give more details about our Staff and Student Thanksgiving Lunch set for Thursday, November 20th. Harps will provide a Thanksgiving lunch but students must pre-order by November 13th with their Homeroom/Bible teacher. The lunch cost is $6, will be ordered the same way typical hot lunches are ordered, and will be charged to the family's FACTS account. Students may also bring their lunch to school and choose not to order.
Also, just wanted to clarify jeans are not part of our school uniform this school year. If you have received your pants/skirts, jeans shouldn't be worn except on Thursdays for MHCA Tshirt day. MHCA approved pants are khakis, black pants, and gray pants. Thanks for your help in this area.

Our students from 1st to 3rd grade participated in a unique test that was outside the classroom and beyond the textbooks. Staged trash was placed in different locations on the playground to see who would pick it up.
I am proud to announce that the students passed the test! They showed great responsibility and care for their environment by noticing the trash and taking action to pick it up. It is truly inspiring to see young individuals demonstrate such a positive behavior.
