The EPIC meeting scheduled for tomorrow at noon has been cancelled. EPIC will meet again on Wednesday, Jan. 15th at noon. Also, just a reminder the "Happy Birthday Jesus" parties in the Early Ed building will be at 2:30 on Thursday, Dec. 19th not Dec. 12th as previous communications shared. Thank you!

Fifth graders conducted an experiment on surface area. They tested crushed vs. whole peppermints disolving in warm water. They discovered that increased surface area meant a quicker dissolving rate.

Just a reminder for families with students in grades 1-12: If your student was chosen by their teacher (they would have communicated with you about this) to represent MHCA in the Christmas parade tonight, they need to be dressed warmly and arrive at Regional Family Medicine Clinic by 5:30pm. Shepherd costumes will be provided. At the end of the parade, we will use the MHCA school van to transport students back to Regional Family Medicine for pickup. Thank You! Also, if you are a parent of one of our student representatives and you'd be willing to walk with the float in the parade tonight, we could use a couple parents to help oversee. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinator Michelle Lindquist at 870-421-1719 if you can help. You will receive a family service hour for your time.

Fifth graders learned how tricky it can be to separate a mixture into its individual parts in science. A mixture of sand, sugar, iron filings and rice provided a big challenge. Tweezers, magnets, cheese cloth and water were all utilized to separate parts.

Internship students took turns "grilling" each other with interview questions, as they prepared for live interviews with Internship Business Partners, the weeks of 11/11 & 11/18/24. All students performed very well in their live business interviews, learning valuable interview techniques that they can take with them as they transition into the labor force.
