Faculty

MHCA puts much thought and prayer into finding the right educators who will serve as strong Christian role models as well as create a positive learning environment for the students.  We are very proud of our well-qualified teachers. The faculty of MHCA is professional, dedicated, and committed to your child’s success.  Most members are certified and represent over 50 years of combined classroom experience.

Mrs. Jennifer Miller - K4/Preschool  Teacher

Our family relocated to Mountain Home 3 years ago.  My husband and I are the parents of 2 wonderful children.  I have a passion for preschoolers and have several years of experience working with young children.  I am very excited about being a part of MHCA!  I love this age group and pray that God will use me to show His love to my young students everyday!

Mrs. Grace Stamper - Kindergarten

I have 19 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education.  I have  an Associate Degree in Child Development and am currently working on a degree in Elementary Education at ASUMH.  This is my 11th year as a teacher at Mountain Home Christian Academy, during which time I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st & 2nd grades.

These years have blessed my life in so many ways.  It is a joy to be able to teach young children academically as well as train them up in the admonition of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  My call from God to model the character and love of Jesus to my young students is an awesome responsibility that keeps me in His Word and on my knees.  To be a part of building His Kingdom through Christian Education at MHCA alongside the other teachers, the Administration, and Board members, has enriched my own Christian walk.  The deepest desire of my heart, as a Christian teacher, is to influence the future leaders and world changers of this generation to lead others to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ms. Sarita Evans - 4th Grade

I retired from the public school system after 32 years of teaching in Bakersfield, Missouri.  I believe God led me to MHCA and has a special purpose for my being here.  It is my prayer that He would show me how to be the teacher and role model for our students that He desires for me to be.

I became a Christian while attending a James Robinson Crusade during college.  I teach a Sunday School Class and am very involved with other church ministries.  I have a daughter who recently graduated from Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.

Ms. Theresa Hobbs - 7th & 8th Grades; Math & Science 5th-9th

I graduated from Mountain Home High School.  After college I moved to Muncie, Indiana where I managed a construction dealership until the birth of my son, Tristen.

I have worked with children for many years in a Christian church environment as a Sunday School teacher, VBS Director, and youth leader.  When my son started school, I felt called to further my career with children into professional education and I returned to college to pursue a degree in Education.  This is my third year teaching at MHCA.  I love the Christian environment and small class sizes.  Here everyone seems like family.
